Hello moms, I am a member of Moms4Moms Florence and I am writing this post as the co-founder of Fondazione martacappelli onlus, that my husband and I run since 2005, in memory of our first daughter Marta (web site www.martacappelli.it). The purpose of our Foundation is to support the parents with a child in the Intensive Care Dept. of the Pediatric Hospital Meyer in Florence, where our daughter died at the age of 9 months. When you get to experience that department you understand that the simple things of daily life suddenly become impossible to understand and in a very short time you loose your mind, literally. That’s why you need a support, someone to help you to go through that long tunnel of darkness; our Foundation has a small team of volunteers that bring company and take care of some basic needs of those parents, while our Psychotherapist helps the families with her very professional support. For those who come from outside Florence then we find a place to stay, paying them a room in Hotels or in simple accommodations near the Hospital.
The money we need for those projects come from donations of friends and people that get to know about us and from fund raising that we organize three or four times a year.
For Christmas 2012 we will be selling Italian Panettone and Christmas Cookies. You can find us at the entrance hall of the Pediatric Hospital Meyer(www.meyer.it) on Nov. 28/30 in the morning and after that three days I will be selling the products wherever people want me to…basically I drop them to friends that can help me selling.
So, if you can make it please come on Nov.29 and 30, from 9:30 to 1:00 PM at the Meyer Hospital Entrance or, if you wish to help us with the sale, I will be happy to bring some of our products directly to your home and let you free to sell them to your friends.
Any suggestion for the sale project is welcome!

For those who are looking for Christmas crafts and hand made little Christmas gifts I recommend this: Christmas Market for A.Ma.R.Ti, an Association run by friends of mine (http://www.amarti.info). I always find very interesting little things, it is worth a visit
