Natale a Santa Brigida (Pontassieve -FI-)
During the Christmas Holidays the Parish Community of St. Bridget does the “Living Nativity”.
The performance is certainly impressive, the scenery, the music, the play of lights and costumes. The Living Nativity takes place outdoors, in the valley of the Church, in an environment that is well suited for its representation: a sort of natural amphitheater, a latch in the countryside, where – down – there are some huts occupied by the inhabitants and Bethlehem – the higher – the hut where Jesus will be born surrounded by olive trees. All with a voiceover that refers to the Gospel of Luke. The scenery, with its 50 participants.
The dates are:
-on the eve of Christmas on December 24 at 22;
-on the afternoon of December 26, at 18;
-on the afternoon of Jan. 6, at 18 for the Feast of the Epiphany
Additionaldates and times 20 and 26 December and from 14.30 on January 6 for the Feast of the Epiphany from 14.30 were organized
“Christmas Markets” with typical objects such as statues of the nativity and the decorations for the tree. Artisans display their products, and spaces set up of solidarity for the collection of funds for charity. Many decorative Christmas lights and Christmas songs.
“Exhibition of Nativity” is also a wonderful display of nativity scenes set up in 30 church and display cases placed along the roads of the country.

You may travel on the bus and tram four to 24 hours. Also, next week the bus tickets can be purchased from the parking meters in Florence Parking. You can even travel with the bus ticket on the train in the urban stretches.
