Anglo Family meeting up at the Parco delle Cascine in Tavola (Prato)
PICNIC FOR NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS, ALL WELCOME
SUNDAY OCT. 2ND starting at 12,30 pm in the field across from the Slow Food center at the Cascine di Tavola
Everyone brings their own lawn gear and picnic lunch, sharing is always encouraged but not obligatory.
Kids are encouraged to bring sports and outdoor equipment because it’s a great field to play in.
Bring ideas for English-language activities you would like to organize during the year.
Spread the word! The group already includes Anglo families (from all different countries!) who live in Prato, Florence and Pistoia but let’s try to widen participation.
If it should rain, we will call it off and discuss a date (so have alternatives in mind). For any other info feel free to call me on the day.
See you all on Saturday,
Miranda MacPhail

New Brownie/Girl Scout Troop
Hello everyone! Anyone is interested in joining in to form a new Brownie/Girl Scout troop in the Florence-Prato-Pistoia area? Due to the difficulty in forming new troops in the Italian scouting system this would be under the Girl Scouts of America. Contact me for more info!

Seminar on bilingualism
If anyone is interested, I have scanned the abstracts and programme from the Seminar on bilingualism that was held in Pistoia on 22 January, organised by A.P.I.
It was extremely interesting, offering lots of ideas for bringing up truly bilingual kids from experts and other parents in the same position. Sue
