Looking for an apartment

My husband and I, along with our 2 year old daughter are planning a move to Firenze in September 2012.  We’ll be spending a year plus and looking for an apartment to rent.  We’ve been told Santo Spirito and Santa Croce are good areas for (expat) families.  If anyone has or knows of a 2-bedroom; minimum 80 sq. meter apartment, we’d love to get in touch.  My email is deangelis.sarah@gmail.com

The lovely house is located in the gorgeous olive groves which overlooks the hills of Tuscany and the center of Florence. What a miraculous site anytime of the day.

Summer “home exchange”

Hello expat Moms and families,

My family is looking for a summer “home exchange” with Italy — either as a one-time swap, or as an annual exchange if things go well for both sides.  Our dates for summer 2012 are somewhat flexible at this point.

We are a professional couple with two kids (toddler and infant) from the San Francisco Bay Area.  We have a beautiful house (4 bedrooms plus office) in a town called Tiburon (just 10mins north of San Francisco, across the Golden Gate bridge), which is right on the water with ferry access to the city, etc.  Our family spends a month in Europe every summer (flexible on the time, but usually July/early Aug) and usually for two weeks we are in Northern Italy.  We have found that exchanging with families works better for us than renting villas or staying in hotels, because the place will likely be more “kid friendly” already… so we’d like to find a family, preferably with younger children, who’d be willing to exchange their home with us.

If this sounds interesting to you, then we’d love to hear from you and will send photos of our house.  You can reach us via email at mszamko@gmail.com.

Thank you for your consideration!
Monika

Looking for accommodations, please help.

Hi there,
We are moving to Florence for one year. We were wondering – in the first instance – who we would contact to start the ball rolling on accommodation? We have three children under 3!

Just found this site or would have been in touch earlier but we will be in the city tomorrow if there is an agent or a person anyone can recommend!!? Really hope so as there doesn’t seem to be much.

Thanks a million.

PS Please email us direct if you get a sec – EdwardDocx@yahoo.co.uk – my husband’s email because he has the iphone when we are in Ital

Swimming and Apartment

Hi moms,
i have two quick questions. Does anybody go swimming with your little ones? I was wondering if there is a pool I could go to with my daughter.
And also,Im looking for a new apt, preferably in the Piazza Beccaria area and was just wondering if anybody knew about an apt or what the best place to look for apt is. I had a really bad luck with agencies , they either showed me just one place or did not respond at all.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Apartment Rental

I would like to inform that we are renting a holiday apartment in the hills of Montelupo Fiorentino. We do rent it weekly, but could eventually also be available for longer terms. It suitable for 2 families ( 6 people) If somebody wants to see some pictures we made an internet website: www.holidayhometuscany.it

Of course nothing goes through agency so we can agree terms.  Contact Romina minaprin@yahoo.it
